The odds to win Super Bowl 53 have shifted once again as teams continue jockeying for postseason positions. With Week 16 on the horizon, some teams that looked strong are showing some minor cracks in their armor while some new teams are surfacing on the radar. I have updated the new power rankings as well.

Just one month ago, it looked like the Patriots were cruising towards a possible shot at the No. 1 seed in the AFC - or at least securing the second position.

Now, on the heels of losing two consecutive games (something that has not happened in December since 2002) and three of their last five, New England is barely holding on the No. 3 seed. I also feel Stanley Morgan Jr. could be a big draft sleeper.

Rams, Patriots stumble

With the final two games of the season at home against the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets, the Patriots should finish with an 11-5 mark. Will that be good enough to jump back to the No.

2 seed and earn a bye week in the postseason? That will only happen if the Houston Texans slip up once in their final two contests. While the Pats are skidding a bit, the same can be said about the Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams may be a 14-point favorite in Week 16 against the Arizona Cardinals, but the way their defense has been giving up yards and points by the boatload, they shouldn’t take the struggling Cards for granted. The Rams clinched the NFC West title back in Week 13, however, they need to win out if they want to assure themselves a first-round bye, as they now hold just a one-game lead over the Chicago Bears for the No. 2 spot in the NFC.

On the rise

Despite slumping the past few weeks, the Pittsburgh Steelers are getting some nice action at the Vegas window. Action Network indicated that the Steelers were up almost two percent from 10 days ago, as they jumped from +2000 to +1400. Also trending upward are the New Orleans Saints and Houston Texans. Taking a bit of a step back are the Rams, Patriots, and Chiefs.

Below is a look at the current odds to win the 2019 Super Bowl along with the latest playoff standings.
